Have a
Birthday or Dinner Party!
Volunteers have raised money for TIAS ARMS by inviting friends to birthday
parties in their homes, and asking attendees to contribute to TIAS
ARMS in lieu of gifts. Dinner parties are also
fun and asking guests to donate to TIAS ARMS in any amount makes a big
difference. This has raised literally thousands of dollars
for TIAS ARMS--and it's fun. Theme your party around South Africa:
buy South African wines, play African music, serve South African food. When
available, Joanne, our wonderful founder, would be happy to attend
your party, talk a little about the children who benefit, and thank your
guests for their generosity. You will literally change lives
and bring great happiness, as you embrace these children from afar with
your kindness. To learn more, e-mail TIAS ARMS and we'll put you
in touch with someone who has already successfully held a party
and knows how good it feels.
HAPPY GIVING.

Silent Auction Donors (or even noisy ones)
- At our
events, we offer items for bid in Silent Auction style, with the items being
donated from various sources, such as restaurant gift certificates, services
like babysitting, interior decorating, or even tangible items like jewelry,
golf clubs, anything of value. If you know anyone who would be
able to donate a significant item whether it is service-related,
or a tangible item, please
contact
Joanne Baker at TIAS ARMS.
We'd be most grateful. Items donated are tax
deductible.
Search
for Cents - You can earn cents when you log on
to the Internet search engine
Goodsearch.com and name TIAS ARMS
as your non-profit choice. The organization contributes one cent for
each search. For example, if 100 donors log on to the search engine twice
a day for a year, that translates into $730 a year, or the equivalent
of providing meals in an after-school program for more nearly four months,
often the only good nutrition these children receive in a day.
