Special thanks to everyone who came out to our recent event 

Wine Tasting at Carlsbad Wine Merchants.

Thanks to everyone who attended or contributed.  Because of your kind generosity, TIAS ARMS raised over $10,500.  To put that into perspective, that money will help feed 38 children for a full year and also pay for one hospice care workers salary for 14 months.   We all had great fun, and helped make the world a better place for children who otherwise would have nothing. 

Many thanks to Karen for organizing the event.  We were limited to 100 people. Through her amazing efforts we sold 110 tickets, and we were sold out a week before the event. 

Special thanks also to Wendy, Kevin, Barbie, Shelley, Crispy, Stephanie and Kim for all your help preparing for the event and then on the big night - your efforts were invaluable and made a huge difference.  Thanks also to Laurie at Carlsbad Wine Merchants for her guidance and advice.  Finally to everyone who donated items to the silent auction, your generosity is so very much appreciated.  Nearly everything sold and the results were incredible.   It is only through the kindness of your efforts that TIAS ARMS is able to do what we do - help provide children with food, shelter and a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow up.

Because this wine tasting has become such a huge success, we have decided to make it an annual event - put it on your calendar for Saturday, February 26, 2011.  We hope to see you all again.  (We were sold out a week before the event this year, so next year buy your tickets early or you might not get in:)
